Ms. Heidi Laaksonen (43) has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Sanoma Magazines Finland’s handicraft magazine, Suuri Käsityö.
Trained as a textile designer, Heidi Laaksonen has been with Otavamedia since 1993, where she worked on Novita and Moda and most recently was Editor-in-Chief of Deko.
“I’m coming back to my roots with this appointment, as I started my magazine career as a young summer intern with Suuri Käsityö,” says Heidi Laaksonen.
“I’m keen to further develop what has become Finland’s largest and most popular handicraft magazine by delivering even more on readers’ expectations and giving them even better content. We can all identify with the joy of working with our hands and creating something individual, and this is really quite popular at the moment. I believe the magazine has a bright future, with a lot to offer both our readers and our advertisers.”
