Two new titles for next year’s gardening season

Finland’s leading magazine publisher, Sanoma Magazines, will publish two new titles next spring for passionate gardeners and lovers of beautiful gardens. Kodin Kuvalehti Puutarhassa will focus on offering readers inspiration and ideas for their own gardens, while Glorian puutarha will concentrate on the magic of great gardens.

Kodin Kuvalehti Puutarhassa will address the needs and interests of all types of gardeners and offer practical and useful information on flowers, plants, and how best to lay out a garden. The magazine will also showcase a wide range of gardens and show readers how to make the most of more limited spaces such as backyards and balconies. 

“The home and everything to do with the home are increasingly popular today, and there’s a definite boom on when it comes to gardens and gardening,” says Kodin Kuvalehti’s Editor-in-Chief Minna McGill. “So we will certainly have lots to talk about in our new magazine, and will cover everything from vegetable gardens to growing herbs on your windowsill or how to create the perfect bouquet. Our aim will be to offer something for all types of gardening enthusiasts.” 

Glorian puutarha will concentrate on unique and wonderful gardens and the stories and people behind them. In addition to presenting some of Finland’s most beautiful gardens, the magazine will also profile the latest trends in the field, visit garden parties, and feature new products. 

“An entire lifestyle has sprung up around the world of gardens, and garden travel is becoming increasingly popular internationally,” says Minna Juti, Editor-in-Chief of Glorian puutarha. “While we do not expect all of our readers to have a garden of their own, they will be people who appreciate the beauty of great gardens and the link they bring with the natural world. Our goal will be to transport readers to another world, a beautiful pond, a grassy bank beneath leafy trees, or beds of beautiful flowers.” 

Kodin Kuvalehti Puutarhassa will appear on 15 March 2011 in a print run of 60,000, and Glorian puutarha on 5 April 2011 in a print run of 35,000. Readers will be able to subscribe to both magazines in advance or buy them at newsstands.
