Sami Sykkö appointed Gloria’s new Editor-in-Chief

Mr. Sami Sykkö has been appointed the new Editor-in-Chief of Gloria, Finland’s leading fashion and lifestyle magazine. Riitta Lindegren, who has headed the magazine since it was founded in 1987, will leave at the end of the year.

Sami Sykkö (39) has been a journalist with Finland’s leading daily, Helsingin Sanomat, since 2001, where he has covered fashion, lifestyle, design, and architecture. Recently he has worked on the paper’s arts desk and has been responsible for major fashion and interior design features in its monthly magazine. Sami Sykkö is also well-known for his popular blog at hs.fi. He has also worked as a news reporter with the Nelonen television channel and as sub-editor for Glorian Koti.

Sami Sykkö is a Master of Economic Sciences by training and has also studied at Parsons The New School for Design in New York.

Sykkö will take up his new position on October 1, and the first issue of Gloria to be edited by him will be the January issue, due to appear on December 29.
