USING AUDIO IN ADS

Audiobutton: the audio starts when the user clicks on an audio button inside the ad. The ad must also contain a mute button.

GENERAL GUIDELINES IN USING FLASH

Flash-ads will only be shown for users with flash support installed in their browsers. In order to deliver ads to user with no flash support we will need a standard backup version in gif or jpg format.

Flash banners should be flash 8 compatible.

We don't accept ads made with ActionScript 3.0.

Please do not use a framerate higher than 18 fps (frames per second).

The landing page url should not be hardcoded into the material. In order for the ad management system to be able to count clicks on ads, the url must be replaced by the variable "clickTAG".

Any clicks from the banner will be directed to a new browser window or tab. This is done by adding the specification "_blank" to the actionscript click command. Please use the following commands exactly as they have been given, including capitalisation.

Correct format of click command:

ACTIONSCRIPT 1.0
on (release) {
getURL(_root.clickTAG,"_blank");
}

ACTIONSCRIPT 2.0

Actionscript 2.0 enables all commands to be inserted into their own layer on the main timeline. The commands will be targeted to a certain element using the elements' instance name. The instance name must be defined for each element. Generally a flash banner requires at least one clickable button or movieclip, which will be given a unique instance name and made transparent. The click command format is:

symbolname.onRelease = function () {
getURL (_root.clickTAG, "_blank");
}

"symbolname" is the unique instance name of the button/movieclip.

MULTIPLE URLS

A flash banner may contain multiple urls. The actual urls may then be hardcoded or dynamically generated, but the click variable must be inserted before the actual url. The click command format is:

on (release) {
getURL(_root.clickTAG + "http://www.target.url","_blank"); } or symbolname.onRelease = function () { getURL (_root.clickTAG + "http://www.target.url","_blank");
}

Click tracking is generated to the beginning of the url and all clicks will be counted. The sum of reported clicks will be the total sum of all different urls.
