12,000 new readers
Me Naiset – Finland’s most widely read women’s weekly
March 6, 2007
The latest readership statistics (KMT Lukija 2006) confirm that Me Naiset is by far Finland’s most widely read women’s weekly, with 465,000 readers, 12,000 more than previously (KMT Lukija S05/K06).
The gap between Sanoma Magazines Finland’s Me Naiset and Anna, published by United Magazines Ltd., has now grown to 35,000 readers, compared to the 1,000-reader advantage that Me Naiset had in the previous study. In terms of women readers, Me Naiset now has 40,000 more readers than Anna.
“We’ve put a lot of long-term innovative effort into developing Me Naiset into a great weekly,” says Editor-in-Chief Riitta Pollari. “We know what interests Finnish women and have been able to anticipate what our readers would like to see and read very well. The positive spirit of our content clearly strikes a chord with our readers.”
In addition to Me Naiset, many other Sanoma Magazines Finland titles have also increased their readership over the past year. The biggest increase was recorded by family magazine, Meidän Perhe, which now has 14,000 or 14.3% more readers, and 112,000 in all. Finland’s largest weekly, Aku Ankka (Donald Duck), has achieved its largest readership ever, with 8,000 additional readers, bringing its total readership today to 1,083,000.
